Generation K FONTICS attend the launch of the Argentina Federation of Municipalities

On Monday 20 FONTICS be launched at the headquarters of the Federation of Municipalities and Argentina have already appointed a group of 5 partners attending the meeting. The invitation letter that we received are reproduced below:

Dear Friends of Generation K,

Monday April 20 at 18:30 pm, will be officially opened the National Forum on Information Technologies and Communications, FONTICS. The event will be held in the Main Hall of the Argentina Federation of Municipalities, at Cerrito 832 of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

    What will FONTICS?

    The central idea is to form a political-technical space for the formulation, discussion and implementation of projects related to the world of new technologies of communication and information in Argentina.

    Who are we?

    Since its initial proposal a few months ago, in the layout of FONTICS have collaborated concerning politicians, academics, officials and businessmen from the world of information technology and communications interested in getting involved in public affairs and create a space for action A serious and responsible.

    What is the GOAL?

    Our main goal is to agree on efforts in the formulation of public policies adapted to today's world and the next few years. Projects that generate added value to our country from the incorporation of knowledge.

    How do we work?

    For the purpose of ordering the work we organize in 5 main areas, which will then subdivided according to the needs raised by stakeholders. These 5 core areas of work relate to Telephony, Audiovisual, Information, Postal Mail, and satellites.

    The working methodology is basically using the Internet, so we have developed a system of thematic online forums, blogs and video chats that will, simply, the participation of stakeholders from all corners of our country as well as partnerships with professionals from other countries.

We will try to discuss and contribute ideas to each project proposals of the Government and bring weight from a place of thought in academic rigor but without neglecting common sense.

For that you need and we invite you to build FONTICS together to add value to our country the best way possible: by adding knowledge to the processes that surround us.
