The draft Law on Audiovisual Communication will be sent to Congress on Thursday
Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner announced on Thursday sent Congress the bill for Audiovisual Communication Services, which replaces the Broadcasting Decree 22,285 imposed by the military dictatorship.
Cristina presented the bill in a ceremony held on March 18 at the Teatro Argentino de La Plata, which was enriched by discussion forums across the country.

In support of the decision of the Head of State, the Coalition for a Democratic Broadcasting called a movement from the Plaza de Mayo to Congress on Thursday at 11, half an hour before the announcement ceremony, at Government House.
President of the Argentine Forum of Community Radios (FARCO), Nestor Busso, said "it is confirmed that the President submit to Congress a bill of Audiovisual Communication Services.
Busso stated that the Coalition will focus on Plaza de Mayo and "from there march to the National Congress symbolically bringing the bill to ask the deputies and senators debate and the rapid adoption of the law."
FARCO president, also vice chairman of the American Association for Radio Education (ALER) and director of Radio Meeting of Viedma, adding that "we celebrate with joy the process that has occurred in these 5 years at 21 points agreed by social organizations by the universities, labor unions of communication ".
"We expect this to be taken in the final text that the president will send to Congress. And at the time Congress takes these 25 years of parliamentary debate on the issue, debate was always delayed by the pressure of the media corporation. So hopefully this time the bill becomes law effectively, "said Busso.
